Quantitative Sensory Testing

There is a method in diagnostics of disorders of small fiber’s functions performing quantitative sensory testing (QST) with neuro-sensory analyzer.

This is non invasive procedure indicated to assess patient’s abilities to perceive stimuli (like cold and hot) of different intensity to objectify functions and disorders of sensory fibers. QST is also useful in objectification of pain perception and revealing neuropathic pain, as also in diagnostics of allodynia and hyperalgesia.

Indications:
  • Small fiber polyneuropathies of different etiology;
  • Chronic and neuropathic pain syndromes;
  • Clinical signs of unspecified sensory disorders or sensory disturbances suspected;
  • Diseases of central or peripheral nervous system with sensory disorders.
